The museum is housed in an historic and recently renovated building within the
cultural 'corridor' of the city's Town Green District. This central location
bridges the New Haven Green, the downtown business area and the arts district
of Audubon Street. It is easily accessible to all!
The Children's Building is guided by the tenets of Universal Design.
Ramps abound to make exhibits accessible. Braille books are given to children
who are blind through the Creating Readers program. Stories are told in American Sign Language. For
more information, read our review in Accessible Connecticut.
